Winston Churchill's radio address of June 18, 1940 to the people of war-torn Britain has become immortalized as his Finest Hour. In this Levenger Press collector's edition, we present full-color facsimiles of the first and final drafts of that speech, thanks to access we were granted to the Churchill Archives at Churchill College, Cambridge. Here is Churchill at work in a way that few were privileged to see—crossing out, making notes, alternating between red and blue ink. Along with the facsimiles is a recording of the BBC's 29-minute radio broadcast of the speech. Churchill revised to the last, even changing parts of his final draft as he delivered his message to the nation.
